Nondiscrimination Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Umbrella Mental Health is a trade name (DBA) used by Jonathan Kim, PMHNP-BC, a sole proprietor. This practice is not a corporation, LLC, or partnership.

Commitment to nondiscrimination

Umbrella Mental Health provides care to all patients without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or local law.

This applies to every aspect of care — scheduling, evaluation, treatment decisions, referrals, billing, and communication. No patient will receive inferior care or be turned away based on any protected characteristic.

Section 1557 — ACA nondiscrimination

Umbrella Mental Health complies with Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, which prohibits discrimination in health programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. This includes prohibitions on discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, and disability.

Disability accommodations

Equal access is provided to individuals with disabilities. If you need an accommodation to fully participate in your care — such as communication assistance, scheduling flexibility, or other support — please reach out and every effort will be made to accommodate you.

See the Accessibility page for more information about website and service accessibility.
